American Music Awards Carry Peacetoys In Their Gift Bags
Essex Jct., VT (PRWeb) November 21, 2006 -- If Robert Forenza has his way, the 2006 American Music Awards guests will be hugging their planet for years to come. Forenza, president of www.peacetoys.com, has chosen a classic Hugg-A-Planet Earth toy to be included as a gift for this year's event. He hopes his gift will symbolize the need for us to care for our planet. "The world needs peace, now. Knowing that more culturally influential families are all hugging our planet will help bring closer a more peaceful and healthy world.
Music and musicians have a great deal of influence on our cultural values. Songs of peace, living for peace is what the Hugg-A-Planet® Earth is all about," says Forenza.
The Hugg-A-Planet Earth toy is no stranger to stardom. Named one of the 'Best 25 Toys for the Past 25 years' by the Parents' Choice Foundation and featured in both television and movies, this peace toy offers increased social awareness and promotes positive interactions between the people of the world.
"Our view of the world changed with the first image of the Earth, seen from the moon. The Hugg-A-Planet takes that unifying feeling one step further, by actually putting the world in your hands. When you hold the planet all by yourself, you can't help but understand the amount of social and environmental responsibility we all carry, and you can't help but understand the need to take action, now. We share this world, we share our destiny. We all are the solution. My goal in creating this soft earth is to remind others that peace and a healthy environment are needed. We can make it happen."
"Hugg-A-Planet Earth isn't just about awareness, it's about promoting peaceful change in the way we live our lives. The idea of 'hugging' or embracing the Earth is a symbolic way of opening up to others. A hug is a universal sign of affection, a sign of love, friendship, comfort, and caring. The experiences we have as young children help shape the rest of our lives, and instilling a love for the planet at a young age can have powerful effects on our future. Teaching children to love the planet is as important as learning to love each other."
